Clouds over France Key(s) Rhythm Duo It seems that France has difficult times coming soon, and with France most of Europe. Unfortunately, the memory of history is very short, and human beings tend to forget quickly the amount of suffering brought about by violence and radical, extreme reactions, even if they are understandable. In the end there is a sea of tears and destruction - and those who ...

Another Electric Guitar Hack - A Guitar Support
Переглядів 1513 місяці тому
To achieve a comfortable posture during some practice on an electric guitar, I thought today that I could use a guitar support. A quick internet research yielded just one result, and the thing is not available at the moment (and a bit costly, too). I remembered to have a classical guitar support made by Chris Barnett that I'm not using anymore and tried to figure out how to use it. I can't glue...

    As rosetas que enfeitam as bocas dos violões de famosos, digo de violões caríssimos e advindos de artesões com herança familiar de pai para filho. A arte de fazer Rosetas belissimas, são criações com milimétricas particulas de diversas madeiras, marfim, piaçábas, que marcheteadas e coladas mostram a criatividade dessas belezas indiscritiveis. Thanks for your response (accessible to me only via DeepL translator). I'm not sure if I understand what you wanted to convey here. Are you meaning to say that only sons of artisans are able to make beautiful rosettes? I respectfully disagree. E.g. I'm in possession of the very first guitar Sebastian Stenzel made under his own name, and his rosette is as refined as the ones of the best luthiers. And he continued making beautiful rosettes until this day. The same is true for Sascha Nowaks work. Both do not have fathers from which they could have inherited this art. As far as I see it, it's a matter of taste, of understanding how different woods appear in different cuts, how colours play together, and after all, of a patient and meticulous technique. There are also enough examples of people who have had the possibility to inherit the art but cannot make it with their own hands...

    The only thing I dislike about my classical guitar other than stringing it is the g string is constantly out of tune...but that thing sounds better than a $4000 Taylor or $7000 Martin...Paid $100..never break a string...Sounds great for anything ..Metal, classical, ragae

    • @TheMusicalEvents
      @TheMusicalEvents 7 місяців тому

      Well, then either the g string is of a very bad quality or there is something wrong with how you mounted it. The g string is not known for going out of tune easier than any other string ...

    • @leadfoot.
      @leadfoot. 7 місяців тому

      @@TheMusicalEvents I'm not sure that's true..I've heard a bunch of people complain about their g string being too loose

    • @TheMusicalEvents
      @TheMusicalEvents 7 місяців тому

      @@leadfoot. I'm not to deny the experience of people, but being a classical guitarist since decades and member of Classical Guitar forum (Delcamp) that's the one thing that is not complained about a lot as far as the g-string goes. Many people complain that it sounds tubby or muffled, but that just means a wrong string for given guitars. It may take a g-string a bit longer to settle (being thicker means many more molecules have to be stretched and find their new balance) but after the settling period they should stay as stable as any other string. For tubbiness, you need just another string. Many people use fluorocarbon g-strings, because the sound is clearer and fit into the guitar sound across the strings better.

      @@TheMusicalEvents It's probably because I play alone in my barn so I don't get on people's nerves..the constant change in temperature...I don't know...I think I'll ditch my g string for boxer briefs

      Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I'm having big renovation works in my house and this oud is stowed away in a place I can't reach for some time. After that I can measure it and report back. If nothing happens, please remind me. It should be possible the second week of October. The steel strings are from Rösslauer Drahtwerke (I used it many years ago as sitar strings). The brass strings are plain string from an old Pyramid sitar set.

    Hi lieber Robert, Du bekommst immer so gute Aufnahmen hin :) Es klingt super! Die Mikros, die Du das hast sind ja suuper teuer. Sind die eine signifikate Verbesserung gegenüber z.B. den KM184, die ich hab? Meine Gitarre von Sebastian ist nun viel besser eingespielt. Es war wohl wirklich der Punkt. Heute habe ich einfach mal d'addario Saiten aufgezogen, um den Vergleich zu damals zu haben. Es klingt ganz anders! Im Quartett ist es so, dass ich mich endlich selber höre :) Da ist immer ein Kampf um Lautstärke, weil man sich gegenübersitzt. Es ist etwas idiotisch. Nun ist der Winter vorbei und ich kann hier im Keller wieder richtig üben. Das war sehr schwer in den letzten Monaten und ich hab jetzt vor, einiges aufzunehmen. Ich hab den Faltungshall entdeckt, der das hier in dem kleinen Raum möglich macht. Es klingt dann viel besser und dem Klang wird nichts unnatürliches hinzugefügt. Kennst Du das? In den meisten Programmen heißt das "convolve", ist aber mathematisch eine "Faltung". Liebe Grüße und wenn Du Sebastian triffst, sag ihm auch liebe Grüße und Entschuldigung, dass von mir so lange nichts kam! Dein Andreas

      Lieber Andreas, ich habe die DPA fast seit dem Anfang meiner Tonmeistertätigkeit... inziwschen sind sie tatsächlich sehr viel teurer geworden (ich weiß nicht, ob sie in dieser Form überhaupt noch produziert werden). Aber diese Aufnahme markiert mein Heureka-Erlebnis - eine Modifikation meines Aufnahmeverfahrens mit 3 Mikrophonen, die mir das letzte Quentchen an Klarheit gebracht hat, die ich seit 20 Jahren gesucht habe... Es freut mich ungemein, dass die Stenzel allmählich von Sie auf Du übergeht... :) Herzliche Grüße R. PS Faltungshall verwende ich seit bestimmt 15 Jahren. Ein großartiges Programm heißt Altiverb von Audio Ease.

    Wieder ein sehr stimmungsvolles, harmonisches Stück von Yves Tampère & Robert Montheureux. Gitarre und Klavier ergänzen sich sehr schön. Da sind 2 Musiker, die sich sehr gut verstehen! Außerdem laden die Musik, Bilder, der Begleittext und Titel zum Innehalten und Nachdenken über das Vorgehen der Menschheit bei Kriegen, Umwelt- und Katastrophenschutz ein - alles stellt den Ruhepol in einer völlig verrückten Welt dar. Sehr beeindruckend! In der Musik stecken sehr viele Emotionen und das kommt auch toll zur Geltung, unterstützt mit stimmungsvollen Bildern: Die Kontraste zwischen schneller Zerstörung und dem Schaffen von Naturwundern im Form von Steinküsten, die sicher Jahrtausende brauchen, um so schön auszusehen werden bildlich wie musikalisch sehr schön in Szene gesetzt. Der anhaltende Dialog zwischen Gitarre und Piano vermittelt die Botschaft des Titels gekonnt! Wie hat Mike Oldfield einmal gesagt: "Ein Teil eines guten Musikers macht aus, dass er nicht gefühllos musikalische Tonfolgen spielen kann, sondern es reicht, wenn er eine Note spielen kann, die er auch fühlt!" Hier werden sehr viele solcher gefühlten Noten gespielt! Kompliment! Es ist eine seltene Kombination von Jazz und Pink Floyd! Bitte mehr davon! Liebe Grüße von Frank

    :), mey, wieviele Gitarren hast Du denn? Ich hatte kürzlich ein Vorspiel mit einer sehr netten Frau, die noch nicht allzulange Bratsche spielt. Sie hat das super gut gemacht, das Problem ist aber immer, die Tonhöhe zu treffen. Da muss man sehr lange üben, um das hinzubekommen. Bei dieser Gitarre ist es sicher dasselbe. Du bekommst es schon ganz gut hin :) Ich wünsch Dir und Deiner Familie ein frohes Fest! Ich hoffe, endlich mal mit Sebastians Gitarre mehr Aufnahmen machen zu können. Ich verzettel mich grad etwas und ich zaudere immer noch mit dem Ton bei den Aufnahmen... Liebe Grüße vom Andreas
